I Can't Drive 55
On December 17th, I turned 55 while visiting my son, Devon, and his family in Chicago. Marissa took this shot of me with Dylan and Riley to commemorate the occasion. You've got one struggling two-year-old wrestling and elbowing his grandfather all the while his brother is blissful. I am too pooped to pop in this shot. A wonderful day.

I'm Like Ike
When I was just three-years old, I recall running into the kitchen, eyes shut, screaming, "Mama, Mama! I see Ike in my head! I see Ike in my head!" My mother asked me a few questions and determined that I had indeed captured a vivid mental image of our 34th president, delivering an address from behind a presidential lectern. This was my first conscious experience of having an imagination.
Fifty-two years later, what remains of my imagination tells me now's the time for "Ike! The Musical". I hear future smash hits such as "My Name Is Ike!", "Who's Your D-day Daddy?" and "Mamie, You Surely Are My Woman", plus the side-splitting "Tricky Dick".
And talk about your perfect casting.
And talk about your perfect casting.
